What is Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD")'s passing rate?

We do not publish an overall pass rate percentage because, due to limitations in obtaining test information, and "pass rate" would be potentially misleading and inaccurate. If you receive information regarding a bar review program's pass rate, be skeptical. Determine exactly how the purported "pass rate" is calculated.

When do classes begin?

Our program is a home study course. Therefore, there are regular scheduled classes to attend and online, iPad/iPhone classes are also available. Students begin and progress through the program at their own pace.

Can I return the materials?

No, after signing the contract. We are so confident that you will value our tutoring program.

Do you have a pass guarantee?

Depending on which item you subscripted, we have different pass guarantees offers:

Money-Back Guarantee

Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD")'s Standard Package with Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD")'s "Pass the First Time Money-Back Guarantee" comes with a limited money-back guarantee. Eligibility is limited. Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD") offers its "Pass the First Time of Your Money Back Guarantee" program only to those students who meet certain qualifications. In order to qualify for the money-back pass guarantee, you must meet the following requirements:

*You are the first timer to take any Bar exam;

*You graduated (or will graduate) from an ABA accredited law school in the 50 states or the District of Columbia;

*You take the bar exam within six months from graduating law school

*You complete all assignments pursuant to our Money-Back Pass Guarantee Program; and *You enroll before the enrollment deadline.

Pass-Update Guarantee

Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD")'s Standard Package, Standard Package with Essay Critiques, and all other complete and partial courses come with a pass-update guarantee policy. All students are eligible. If you sit for the bar exam, and do not pass, you can retake the online course with no extra cost. You must inform Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD") that you did not pass the exam within 10 days of being notified of the results. Within the same time limit, you must also provide Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD") with a copy or fax of the notification letter from the Board of Law Examiners.

Can I postpone my enrollment?

We allow a one-time extension of enrollment, including access to our online material, to the next scheduled bar exam. We require a copy of your notice of deferment or subsequent enrollment from the Board of Bar Examiners prior to extending your enrollment. Email Andykwok@hongjingedu.com to request a postponement.

Is the course state-specific?

If we offer a complete home study course for a jurisdiction, then the course will be state-specific unless the bar examiners have indicated that essay questions are to be answered according to general legal principles, not the law of the jurisdiction. In some states, the examiners have indicated that questions testing certain enumerated subjects should be answered according to state law, while others should be answered according to general legal principles. In these states, we follow the direction of the examiners and provide state-specific law for the subjects for which such knowledge is required.

How soon will I receive the materials?

If the items are in stock (99% of items are in-stock), they are processed within 2-3 business days after you enroll. Shipment transit time will depend upon the method of shipment you selected. Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD") is not responsible for shipping delays. All disputes concerning shipping must be addressed to the carrier.

Can I listen to any of the lecture anytime?

You can listen to any lecture at any time - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can rewind, pause, or fast-forward lectures. You can even listen to a lecture multiple times.

Which course option should I sign up for?

It depends. In every state, the bar exam consists of several different components including the MBE, an essay exam, and in some states, the performance test. You can sign up for a complete course, which covers all of the portions of the bar exam, or a partial course, which covers one or more portions of the exam.

Can I access the online lectures with a dial-up internet connection?

No. We recommend that you use a high-speed internet connection (at least 256 KBPS).

Can I upgrade my course after I enroll?

Yes. Up until the exam date, you can upgrade your course to any other Hong Kong International institute of Professional Development ("IIPD") course, or add any course option (e.g., iPad/iPhone Rental or essay critiques), for the same jurisdiction. You will only pay the difference in price.
